CPP32 ,CASP3, apopain, procaspase3,CPP32B,SCA-1,CPP-32,Apopain,Yama
Immunogene sequence:
Synthetic peptide mapping to the N-terminus adjacent to the cleavage site of human caspase-3
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Formulation of this antibody:
30 µl antigen affinity purified rabbit anti-Active Caspase-3 antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% thimerosal.
Recommended usage:
Western blotting (1:50 -1:500 dilutions) and Immunohistochemistry (1:10-1:20 dilutions). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody preferentially recognizes the p17 fragment of the active caspase-3 in samples from human, mouse, and rat origins
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.Human and some mouse caspases are active in apoptosis and cell death and even in necrosis and inflammation. CASP Gene and orthologous enzymes have been identifies successfully in the signal transduction cascade and pathways.
Background information:
Caspase-3 has been extensively studied and implicated to play an important role in apoptosis. Active caspase-3 proteolytically cleaves and activates other caspases, as well as relevant targets in the cells (e.g., PARP). The affinity purified antibody recognizing the active forms of caspase-3 provides a new tool for identifying apoptotic cell populations in both tissue sections and cultured cells.
